The British manufacturer, Triumph Motorcycle, introduced the latest addition to their scrambler motorbike lineup. Triumph presents the Scrambler 1200 with this classic-style motorbike that can tackle two realms on and off-road.
The new Triumph Scrambler 1200 will be offered in two variants: Scrambler 1200 XC and Scrambler 1200 XE. The XC model is more focused on the highway, while XE is more oriented to offroad terrain.
Both of them use the same engine as Bonneville, which is a 1,200cc two-cylinder engine in line. So in a way, the Triumph Scrambler 1200 is having 89 horsepower inside it.
On the front, the new Scrambler 1200 has a classic tracker design. Other prominent highlights of this design include the aluminum fenders, retro-style seats, teardrop fuel tank, wide handlebars and the classic Triumph rectangular logo on the XE variant.
The new Triumph Scrambler 1200 will use the same 1200cc parallel-twin engine that produces 89bhp of power and 110Nm of torque. This engine is combined with a 6-speed gearbox which is assisted by a clutch which makes it an easy motor to ride in urban conditions.
Both the Scrambler 1200 XE and the XC are equipped with an adjustable Showa fork in the front and Ohlins dual rear suspension which is also accompanied by settings. Variant XC offers a suspension with 200mm travel distance and the XE variant offers up to 250mm travel distance. Variant XE also gets a gold front fork.
The braking system is handled by dual discs with a width of 320mm combined with Brembo monobloc calipers in front and 255mm discs with Brembo two-piston floating caliper.
Both of these variants are equipped with Antilock Brake System which can be turned off and the XE variant also gets ABS. The new Triumph Scrambler 1200 uses 21-inch front wheels and 17 inch rear wheels.
Features
Triumph Scrambler 1200 has quite complete features. There is an instrument cluster with a TFT screen that can control various things. There are also five riding modes. The XE models got one special addition riding mode, called Off-Road Pro.
The new Triumph Scrambler 1200 comes equipped with features such as cruise control, ride-by-wire, grip heaters for cold weather, under-seat storage space with USB ports for charging, keyless and torque assist clutch.
This motorcycle is also equipped with a TFT color instrument cluster. The new 1200 Scrambler is also equipped with a GoPro control system to operate the GoPro camera while on the go.
