Practical considerations and being able to bulldoze congestion quickly, a go green lifestyle, energy saving, affordable, as well as health factors that underlie cycling activities, are attractive alternatives for urban communities. Bikemakers then convert this particular interest by inventing various commuter bikes that are available in numerous price ranges. The features of some of these commuter e-bikes are also very different from one another.
This e-bike is specially developed to bulldoze the topography of the urban street. But one not without the proper expertise, Cannondale inputs high-end specs for their commuter bike. The Adventure Neo 3 EQ is powered by a Bosch Active Line 250W drive-unit with a range of up to 65 mi. If that is still not enough, all this horsepower is also backed up with a 400Wh battery.
The urban bike also has various high-end features such as Shimano Altus 9-speed shifting, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, Kenda Kwick Seven tires, and many more. Market under the tagline “The most comfortable e‑bike,” the Cannondale Adventure Neo 3 EQ is available in two sizes and two color options – Red and Black.
With a series of slick records as a high-end brand, Brompton certainly doesn’t want to miss out on the electric bicycle market. But one thing for sure, their E-Bikes still have the typical styling of the London-based bikemaker.
But the Brompton Ebike isn’t just about stylish commuter e-bikes. The bike is equipped with a folding characteristic that makes it easy to carry anywhere. The commuter bicycle with dimensions of 585mm high x 565mm long x 270mm wide can be easily folded thanks to its 3-fold technology.
From the technical side, the folding e-bike is equipped with a 250w hub moto and a 300wh lithium-ion battery. Thanks to a series of the best sensor technologies, the Brompton Ebike is able to assist riders with pedal-assist technology that is automatically activated.
Available in three color options – Bolt Blue, Black, and Turkish Green – the Brompton Electric Folding Ebike starts at $3,800.
3. Specialized Turbo Como
The unfamiliar tagline “Flying on Wheels” is considerably successful in capturing the attention of commuter e-bike consumers. It is proven that the Specialized Como Turbo is one of only a handful of e-bikes that are immediately attracted by consumers even though it has just entered the pre-order period.
The main selling point of this electric bike is its ability to propel the rider up to 120 km. The key factor lies in the use of Garmin Radar which this bikemaker claim is the brain and brawn of their product.
In addition to being a display and GPS, this product also has a Mission Control feature to activate the Turbo System Lock which can lock the powertrain in a stolen scenario. The Como Turbo specs are even more complete thanks to the addition of Pathfinder tires, and accessories from MIK HD.
The combination of the ideal price and specifications is one of the selling points of the Best Bosch Step-Through Electric Bike. Boasting the name of Bosch certainly means quality. And with a price tag of $2599, the particular price range of the Step-Through e-bike is pretty affordable for a high-end commuter bike product.
The main attraction on the spec page is, of course, the adoption of the Bosch Active Line motor with a capacity of 250 watts and 40 Nm pedal-assisted ability. The battery is coming from the same manufacturer – Bosch Powerpack – capable of 400 wh. The spec sheet is then packed with Kenda Kwik Journey tires, FSA Alloy bracket, Tektro HD-M275 Hydraulic disc, and many more.

A stylish appearance and high-end specs are the main indicators why the HSD S11 is one of the most popular commuter e-bikes today. The e-bike is claimed to have one of the most classy features in its class.
Starting from the motor, Tern Bicycles pinned Bosch Performance Sport with 65 Nm of torque on the 170 kg frame. In addition, the powerful motor is also supported by the Bosch PowerPack 500 Wh and the Bosch Intuvia Display. The distance that the HSD S11 can cover is clocked at a range of 51-118 km.
The top-tier e-bike is also getting its support with an 11-speed Shimano® Deore XT Shadow+ derailleur, Magura® hydraulic disc brakes, and Abus® keyed-alike frame lock.
Unlike the other commuter e-bikes on this list, the RadWagon 4 focuses more on the typical hauler it has. In fact, this bicycle manufacturer embeds the Electric Cargo Bike subtitle on its products.
Far from a half-hearted prep, the RadWagon 4 is the strongest version in the lineup of the US bikemaker. The e-bike is powered by a 750W geared hub motor backed up by a 48V, 14 Ah battery. The payload that can be transported by RadWagon 4 is measured at 159 kg.
The key to its strength lies in tires specially developed by engineers from Rad Power Bikes. In addition, the mainframe of the e-bicycle also uses patent-pending technology which is a deep company secret.
Versatility. The is the main concept being offered by LeMond Bikes while presenting the Prologue Lightweight Electric Bike to the public. But, even though it’s easy in theory, versatility is a difficult subject to materialize in assembling an electric bicycle.
In terms of electricity, Prolog has a motor with a capacity of 250 W which is supported by a battery from Panasonic with a capacity of 36V, 250W. The range of this electric bike is recorded at 45 miles. Although it sounds ordinary, special notes must be pinned on this particular e-bicycle.
First, the frame of the Prolog is very light at 12 kg. The use of aluminum and fiber is the reason for this extraordinary weight efficiency. Plus, the appearance of the Prolog Lightweight Electric Bike is also highly artistic. But unfortunately, its price tag is considerably premium starting at $4,500.
9. Cowboy 4
Cowboy 4 offers more than just an electric bike. Lots and lots of smart features are claimed to have been successfully induced in the commuter e-bike which is still in this pre-order period.
