Two years ago Microsoft launched all in one PC dubbed Surface Studio PC. This product had great receptions among the users. Last month, Microsoft released the new generation of Surface Studio called Surface Studio 2 which might look a bit the same but believe me, it’s not!
This product has the same 28-inch display just like its predecessor but Microsoft has tweaked the display for Surface Studio 2. The software giant boosted the internal support to make the new generation of Surface Studio faster than ever. Microsoft claimed that the display of Surface Studio 2 38 percent brighter than the previous generation.
It’s also 22 percent more contrast than Surface Studio PC. Microsoft put on 13.5 million pixels on the display of Surface Studio 2 which is supported by 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The Surface Pen fully equipped the new generation.
Design
For the design, Microsoft absolutely does almost nothing new for their Surface Studio 2. The physical design looks just like the previous product. Even the mouse and wireless keyboard are identical. The huge difference you can feel is located on the screen. Microsoft put on such a huge boost in this area.
Microsoft Surface Studio 2 has a dimensions of 25.1” x 17.3” x 0.5” (637.35 mm x 438.90 mm x 12.50 mm). For the external device, this PC support up to two 4K UHD (@30fps) and one 4K UHD (@60ups). Microsoft provides OS Windows 10 Pro while also giving Microsoft Office 365 on the 30-day trial basis.
Performance
Surface Studio 2 got it the support from the Kaby Lake R and Coffee Lake round of the 8th generation processor. Microsoft also provides Intel Core i7-7820 HQ which not on only fast but also superbly great for handling any apps.
For the memory, there is 2 option for Surface Studio 2. You can pick between 16GB model or 32GB model of DDR4. Microsoft also provides 2 choices for video graphics, NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 6GB GDDR5 memory and NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5 memory. The Surface Studio 2 also equipped with 5.0 MP front facing the camera and dual mic and Dolby Audio Premium.
The Ultimate Studio
Microsoft is branching toward the hardware domination by creating an environment based on their Surface-line product. The software giant has a huge advantage since their OS has already an established number one. The addition of the Surface Studio 2 is another step taken by the company to attract more professionals which are reflected on the hefty price of the product.
