A number of companies have developed six-wheeled vehicles following the success of the Mercedes-AMG G63 6 × 6 and the latest is Hennessey. Hennessey is not a brand of alcoholic beverage that have been supporting one of the biggest football tournament.
But a modification house and automotive tuning specialist of well-known brands such as Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren, Chevrolet, Dodge, Cadillac, Lotus, Jeep, Ford, GMC, Lincoln, and Lexus, which is based in Texas, USA. The company keeps on stealing the spotlight with their modification and now the company has just released details about their newest product, dubbed Goliath 6 × 6.
Based on Chevrolet Silverado
Following the success of the 6X6 Veloci adapter that was exhibited at the SEMA event last year, Hennessey wants to repeat its success. A six-wheel drive truck was designed by the Hennessey Performance (HPE) team which taking its base from the Chevrolet Silverado Z71 Trail Boss 2019 model which is claimed to be reliable, then transformed into a more violent creature by increasing offroad capability to the next level.
Boosted Power
The first sector to experience touch is the powertrain, precisely adding power. Yes, this company does focus on modifying the mechanical components to create high-powered cars. In this case, the 6.2 L V8 manufacturing machine is upgraded with a Supercharged HPE700 engine that includes 2.9L and produces a 7 psi boost.
The result gives an overall output of up to 705 hp at 6,200 rpm and 675 lb-ft of torque at 4,200 rpm. Even with extra weights such as axles and wheels, Hennessey says this mini truck can run from 0-60 mph in a span of 4 seconds.
All New Suspension System
The all-new rear suspension system is added to accommodate the new axle, wheels, and tires, and is equipped with a custom 6X6 pickup/tub. Goliath’s stature looks taller because of the 8-inch kit lift and 37-inch BFGoodrich tires and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Apart from significantly more physical changes to the 6X6 drive, this All-new Chevy Silverado actually only gets a few new touches including custom rollbar, new front-rear bumper, and additional LEDs.
If these specifications are not enough for you, HPE offers an optional 808 hp upgrade, Brembo brake system, and custom interior upgrades. Hennesey Goliath 6X6 supplies are limited to only 24 units with the price tag of at $ 375,000.
