Razer is indeed a familiar brand of gaming gear, but since a few years ago, it began to expand its business into other domains such as the provision of e-wallet and smartphone. Razer is also famous for its brave experiments through devices such as Project Valerie and Linda.
Razer’s goal is to impress racing fans for this CES 2020 with a preview and demonstration of the future of e-racing simulation. The concept is powered by Vesaro, Simpit and Synthesis VR technologies, creating an immersive and sensational experience with a 180 ° projection system, a hydraulic platform, manual control and of course, steering wheel and pedals.
The chassis of the Eracing Simulator is built on an ultra-solid central core surrounded by an advanced modular system, thus allowing to generate many different scenarios. The central core sits on a motion platform powered by two actuators and a game control box for a professional race training setup that maps terrain surfaces, G-force and moving sounds for a complete experience immersive.
The visual side is handled by a pair of Simpit’s full-HD projectors, directed to a 128-inch black surface to produce super-bright colors and a 202-degree viewing angle. Furthermore, the control system in the form of a steering wheel made of carbon fiber and leather, magnetic paddle gear, a series of buttons that can be customized, and the three-pedal system which is presented by Fanatec.
Driver controls include anodized aluminum and carbon fiber steering wheel wrapped in smooth leather, magnetic paddles and adjustable buttons for shifting and precise driver assistance. The racing harness simulates the effects of G forces.
G Force is the main part of it since Razer has designed a system to simulate it. To do this, the Razer Eracing Simulator Concept harness exerts pressure on the pilot’s body, which has the effect of reproducing the sensations of strong acceleration or a well-taken turn.
The audio, as well as the inevitable roar of the engines, are not to be outdone and also contribute to the experience of its maximum immersion. With regard to all the components annexed to the main module, Razer sees quality first.
Razer plans to invest in e-racing competitions and leagues soon while continuing its search for technology partners and publishers to further develop this simulator. All interested parties can contact eracing@razer.com.
