A concept of a new car does not always have to futuristic. The concept of a car can also appear practical as shown by Volkswagen Atlas Basecamp Concept. The concept first appears in public at the 2019 New York Auto Show shows the ability of the Volkswagen Atlas to support outdoor activities ranging from camping to cycling in the wild.
In order to craft the best out of this concept, Volkswagen of America Inc. asked one of their designers who worked at the California Volkswagen Design Center, Alex Earle. The man who works as Volkswagen’s Exterior Design Manager is known to be very fond of mountain bike sports.

The SUV rides on fifteen52 Traverse MX Concept wheels enveloped by 265/70 R17 off-road tires on every one of the four corners. The custom body pack is planned via Air Design and there’s likewise an H&R lift unit with a curl over springs raising the stature by about 1.5 inches.
