Not many people aware that Zound Industries is the company responsible for the row of the lineup of headphones and speakers belonging to Marshall, and the collaboration of the two has just spawned a new Bluetooth speaker called Marshall Tufton.
This product is prepared to complement Marshall Kilburn II, which has been present earlier since last year. The most distinguishing between the two is that Kilburn II has a horizontal orientation, while Tufton is vertically oriented. However, both of them adhered to a retro design style that resembled a Marshall design amplifier.
Tufton has a much bigger size than its predecessor with a weight of 4.9 kg, but its water resistance only stays at the IPX2 level. Inside, there is a 10W tweeter embedded, two full range 15W drivers, and a 40W woofer, while the frequency response ranges from 40 – 20,000 Hz.
This speaker has been equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, and at the top, there are a number of knobs that function to adjust the volume, bass and treble levels. The battery life of Marshall Tufton is claimed to be able to reach 20 hours of usage.
Tufton’s 3-way structure and back confronting driver produce an unmistakable and understandable sound over all frequencies. This arrangement will submerge everybody in the music, inside or out.
Tufton highlights multi-have usefulness so its user can without much of a stretch connect and switch between two Bluetooth gadgets.
In addition, Tufton is also a very modern speaker with the use of USB-C as its charging port, and this tech also means that the speaker supports fast charging capabilities. 20 minutes of charging is enough to push Tufton to be usable for 4 hours of use. Tufton is currently marketed at a price of $ 399.
