KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R successfully amazed the pre-visitors at the 2019 EICMA and now the Austrian manufacturer has worked so hard to perfect one of the naked sportbikes in the market.
The Beast has been upgraded with an upgraded LC8 1301 cc engine, KTM claims the Super Duke R is capable of producing 177 horsepower and 103 ft/lbs of torque.
Not limited to the engine, but Super Duke R also renewed its headers by combining two catalytic converters which were very helpful in passing the strict Euro 5 emission standards. However, KTM stated that the header was to help optimize the energy flow in order to overcome the fierce noise from the V-twin engine.
There are many significant changes embedded in the latest KTM 1290 Super Duke R. model, starting from the frame, style, electronic components, and weight reduction.
With a lighter Chromium framework on KTM 1290 Super Duke R. 2020. The Beast is two kilograms lighter compared to the previous generation. KTM also claims that the base of its naked bike is three times harder than before. And that will make Duke R more stable.
The motorcycle suspension uses the latest ‘Apex’ from WP and the braking system with the Stylema front calipers from Brembo. As for the tire, the KTM 1290 Super Duke R packed a larger S22 rear tire with a size of 200 from Bridgestone.
On the price, KTM recently announced the official price of the latest KTM 1290 Super Duke R that they first unveiled at the EICMA (Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori) or also known as the Milan Motorcycle Show 2019.
KTM 1290 Super Duke R is marketed starting at $ 18,699. But the real price will be different after entering the market. The price that was announced by KTM on the event does not include taxes and other extra costs that must be incurred to take the new naked sportbike from the KTM home.
