With a price tag of $ 999 and premium specification, Astell & Kern Kann, which was released two years ago, is still one of the best portable music players that can be purchased at this time.
But if it turns out you are still eyeing a better performance and don’t mind spending more, A & K apparently has prepared another product to offer.
Kann Cube is the name, and the company claims that this product is able to bring Kann’s original performance to a higher level thanks to the addition of two DAC ESS ES9038PRO Saber chips at the same time, not to mention the amplifiers with output almost twice as high as those found in the original Kann.
At the front, Kann Cube packs a 5-inch 720p resolution touch screen, an increase that is quite drastic compared to its predecessor. Not only that, but the operation is also guaranteed to be more smooth thanks to the use of new quad-core processors.
Things that may raise the eyebrows is the shape that looks more like a power bank, plus its weight is almost 500 grams. The bulky shape is due to the embedded battery that has a larger capacity: 7,400 mAh, with estimated durability of up to 9 hours.
The good news is that the Kann Cube supports fast charging via USB-C, which means that the charging time it needs cannot be compared with the majority of the power bank.
Moving on to the storage, A & K crammed 128 GB of internal storage on the Kann Cube, but of course, the users can expand it further with the help of an external SD card.
With the best performance comes the higher price tag. In order to get the best of A & K, the company sets a price of $ 1,499 for Kann Cube and plans to market it this month.
