JBL officially introduced its brand-new product for the true wireless stereo segment, the JBL Tune 115TWS. The latest variant of the Tune series offers a balance between style and performance at a relatively affordable price.
Design
Design-wise, the JBL Tune 115TWS is compact, weighing no more than 5.15 grams per earpiece. The size of the charging case is also minimal and easy to store in a pocket. The weight of the case is in the range of 41.5 grams.
Each earpiece is powered by a dynamic driver with a diameter of 5.8 mm. JBL promises great bass capability regardless of size.
Technically, the driver has a frequency response of 20-20,000 Hz. To minimize sound leakage while making it feel more snug and stable in the ear, users can choose between three ear tip sizes included in the sales package.
Features
The JBL Tune 115TWS might not have active noise cancellation (ANC), but it still offers extra flexibility thanks to the Dual Connect feature, so users are free to use only one (mono) or both earpieces (stereo). Connectivity is handled with Bluetooth 5.0 technology.
To receive or end a phone call, the user only needs to touch the outer side of the earpiece with one finger. The same gesture can also be applied to call the voice assistant on the connected device.
On a single charge, the JBL Tune 115TWS is believed to be able to operate for up to 6 hours non-stop, while the charging case is capable of supplying extra power for up to 15 hours of use, providing a total battery life of 21 hours.
Price and Availability
Available in two color options – black and white – the JBL Tune 115TWS currently retails for $49.95.
