Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S recently presents the latest Chiron Pur Sport variant with a more sporty look. The new Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport is claimed to be different from the various variants of the standard model and is suitable for getting on the circuit.
The Chiron Pur Sport has new aerodynamics and the suspension that reduces weight and let the flow of the power easier to obtain. The engineers improve control and make Chiron Pur more fun to drive around the corner.
To achieve better handling, the Bugatti engineer team made drastic changes to the car’s suspension and weight distribution.
The Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport has a front suspension that has a stiffer spring around 65% and as for the rear, it has a stiffer spring around 33%. The hypercar is also supported by adaptive dampening controls.
As for the weight, the Chiron Pur Sport is 50 kg lighter compared to the regular Chiron thanks to the use of titanium pedals, 16 kg lighter tires, and lighter brake discs.
Bugatti made changes to the Chiron exterior as well, with the Pur Sport adopting an aerodynamically optimized front fascia with larger holes, larger horseshoe grille, and a new splitter of carbon fiber.
The back has also changed, including a 1,9-meter wide spoiler which is claimed to be able to produce greater downforce. The exhaust pipe made of 3D printed titanium is also new adoption as Bugatti says that its weight is very light and is very resistant to extreme temperatures.
The engine that the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport carries remains the same as the previous version, the 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 is capable of producing 1,500 PS (1,103 kW / 1,479 HP) of power.
However, the redline has been increased 200 rpm higher than the standard version of Bugatti Chiron, which is 6,900 rpm. The alteration can be achieved thanks to the combination of the monumental engine with a recalibrated automatic transmission.
Changes to the gearbox also include a gear ratio of 15 percent closer, which has a positive effect on the power delivery and engine response of the Chiron Pur Sport. The result is an elasticity value that is 40 percent better than the standard model.
