Mazda, a Japanese automotive manufacturer always stands at the forefront of delivering innovative car engines. Mazda 3 became the chosen model to implement the latest engine technology, the SkyActive-X Spark Controlled Compression Ignition (SCCI).
At the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, Mazda exhibited two variants, the stylish Hatchback, and the elegant Sedan. The exterior design of the Mazda 3 2019 now appears more firm and more characteristic as a Compact Hatchback car.
Inspired by the Mazda KAI Concept, the front face looks fresher. It can be observed from the presence of chrome accents on the side of the fog lights and underside of the Front Grille. The aggressive order also radiates strongly from the presence of the Splitter feature on the bumper side.
Still nicely decorated with additional Front Under Skirts and a minimalist Black Spoiler. It seems that the Spoiler design that is used now appears more aggressive, seen blending with the roof. As for the lights, the Mazda 3 2019 implements LED Rear Combination Lamps that give the impression of modern and capable lighting functions.
The interior layout of the 2019 Mazda 3 is dominated by two colors namely black implying the impression of being firm and red for sporty. Promotes harmonious relationships between drivers and Mazda 3. Implicit in the dashboard design, minimalist and elegant. All wrapped in black with one stroke of chrome accents on the middle side.
As a Mazda flagship Hatchback car, the capacity for five people still feels relieved. The seats are also wrapped in quality leather and nicely decorated with a variety of colors both Red Maroon, Black and White. All color choices that are presented appear to provide harmony with other interior components.
For the first time, the Mazda 3 gets the SkyActiv-X body frame. Mazda claims the feature is able to provide a more stable level of stability than conventional models. Interestingly, it is also able to provide more responsive adaptability to various terrain of urban roads. On the other hand, a high level of stability in the vehicle can reduce fatigue for the driver even though they travel a long way.
The main feature is the Spark Controlled Compression Ignition (SCCI) technology. The compression ratio will be higher than the previous SkyActiv model, at 16: 1. There are two interesting things that become the main point of this engine. First, this latest technology heats gasoline first and mixes it with air like a concept in a diesel engine.
Although the Mazda engine is powered by gasoline, the diesel concept is used in this regard. Second, the shape of the Piston is made tapered following the cylindrical valve shape at the top. When the piston moves upward, the air will be compressed and compressed perfectly, then the spark plug will ignite the fire and create combustion.
Adopting the 2.0 Liter engine specifications, its performance increases to 190 HP with a peak torque of 207 Lb.ft. The marketing process will be carried out starting in early 2019 which will be presented for the first time in North America.
