With the changing of the Hyundai i20 generation, there is also a new family member in the realm of performance. The All-New i20 N has officially topped the ranks of the manufacturer’s compact hatchback.
The new car is also enlivening the portfolio of Hyundai’s fast division. Inspired by the rallying world, the hot hatchback is equipped with a powerful booster along with a supply of technology and racing car-style features.
Engine
The main weapon under the sleeve of the i20 N is the powertrain. Utilizing a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with Continuously Variable Valve Duration (CVVD) technology the car is also supported by an air compactor so that it can produce a power output of up to 204 HP in the range of 5,500-6,000 rpm. While the torque kick reaches 275 Nm, fully out from 1750-4000 rpm.
Distribution of power is carried out to the front wheels via a 6MT transmission. Specially developed to compensate for the high rotation, torque, and Launch Control of the i20 N.
Design
The basic design of the predecessor was not completely overhauled, indeed. The All-New Hyundai i20N retains default strokes despite detailed adjustments. The car came with a large air intake in the front, providing an extra air supply for the turbo engine.
Underneath it is attached a lip spoiler with a Tomato Red stripe pattern that continues down the side skirt to the stern. The WRC-style roof spoiler and the triangular fog lights on the bottom side are displayed to thicken the racing aura.
The exterior is then splashed with a special color for the N division: Performance Blue. It also combined with Phantom Black on the roof.
Alternatively, other color options are available such as Intense Blue, Polar White, Sleek Silver, Brass, and Phantom Black. The swing is then finished with 18-inch wheels with Pirelli P-Zero rubber measuring 215/40 Hyundai specific.
Inside the cabin, the i20 N is backed with entertainment such as a 10.25-inch multimedia system along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Car connectivity services with Bluelink smartphones were also brought on.

The robust Hyundai i20 N is already available in UK and Europe for £24,995. The cost also included a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty, Hyundai Roadside Assistance, and 5 annual vehicle health checks.
