Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Japan) officially launched the latest generation of Nissan Z. Through the launch, the public can finally see the specifications of the sportscar whose title has been legendary since the 1960s.
In the Nissan product line, the Z lineup is the main model. That’s why the presence of the seventh generation Nissan Z is very crucial for the manufacturer because it also represents the company’s transformation.
Design
The exterior appearance of the All-New Nissan Z has been circulating on the internet for quite a long time. The design still has a common thread with the old Nissan Z. This can be seen from the shape of the long hood and short tail.
Meanwhile, the interior is finally revealed through the launch. Retro touches can be found again, such as the center console which is filled with three analog gauges accompanied by an 8-inch touch screen as the infotainment center.
The instrument panel is also a digital screen with a size of 12.2 inches. As for the seats, the design is adopted directly from the Nissan GT-R. The use of suede material helps minimize lateral movement of the driver’s body during aggressive maneuvers.
Specs
Presented as a sports car, the All-New Nissan Z is packing a V6 Twin Turbo engine with the highest power of 400 hp and peak torque of 474.5 Nm.
The engine is the same as that is being used in the Infiniti Q50. But for the Nissan Z, the manufacturer also provides it in a 6-speed manual transmission option in addition to a 9-speed automatic.
There are three variants of the Nissan Z available. The lowest are Sport, Performance, and Proto Spec. All types use the same engine and two transmission options but differ in tire size.
The Sport type is equipped with 245/45R18 9J front and rear tires. While the Performance and Proto Spec types both use 255/40R19 9.5J tires at the front and 275/35R19 10J at the rear.
Price and Availability
The All-New Nissan Z will be available in Spring 2022 in the US and the native country, Japan. But unfortunately, Nissan is still keeping the price tag of its new car close to their chest.
