Bugatti has officially launched a special edition hypercar known as the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport. The launch of the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport adds to the Bugatti Chiron variant along with the Chiron Sport and Chiron Pur Sport.
Engine
This hypercar uses a 16-cylinder W configuration with a capacity of 8,000 cc with a four-turbine compactor. However, the components of the turbocharger, oil pump, and header cylinder have been pumped up in such a way as to compensate for the power output of 1,600 hp and 1,600 Nm of torque.
To support this power, Bugatti strengthened the chassis and suspension of the Chiron Super Sport and gave the car Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
Design
The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport has improvements to aerodynamics. The body of the Chiron Super Sport is 25 cm longer and has a distinctive long-tail design to maintain laminar airflow.
In addition, the hypercar diffuser is also designed to reduce slipstream and wind friction. Typical on the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is a vertical exhaust configuration and five Y-spoke design aluminum-alloy wheels.
Even so, the Super Sport cabin tends to follow the regular Chiron. Prioritizing luxury rather than trying to reduce weight as much as possible. The majority of the surface is wrapped in leather and then decorated with aluminum trim. However, carbon fiber elements are also not necessarily abandoned.
Price and Availability
Bugatti has priced the Chiron Super Sport for 3.2 million Euros and as usual, only a few units are available.
