Suzuki officially launched its new motorbike at EICMA, the 2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1050. The hallmark of the Suzuki V-Strom 1050 model 2020 lies at the front, which is a headlamp that resembles a box-shaped Suzuki DR.
Suzuki V-Storm 1050 2020 has three types of variants that will be sold in the market, the basic type, XT, and XT Adventure. The basic type has a standard appearance, with single tone colors and wear casting rims and minimal electronic features.
In the XT variant, the looks get more colorful with dual tones, and the legs use the rim model of the fingers. The top variant of XT Adventure looks more sporty and handsome with body striping and other accessories.
Behind the handlebars, there is an LCD screen that displays a variety of instruments and indicators of the motor, with a display that is quite interesting. Features a typical motorcycle explorer, there is already a USB charger, ABS brakes, and traction control in all variants.
Especially for the XT variant, Suzuki added a hill-hold system, rear-wheel lift control, combi brake, and cruise control. The top trim, the XT Adventure, has all the XT features with an additional hand grip heater and a pair of 37-liter side cases.
This motorbike is built on an aluminum chassis that is still the same as the previous model, so the axle is unchanged, – 1,555 mm. Although taking the name V-Strom 1050, it turns out the engine is still the same as its predecessor. The configuration engine is still trusted to a V-twin with a pure capacity of 1037 cc, DOHC 8 liquid cooling valve.
But the power increased to 106 hp while the torque can reach 73.8 lb.ft. This addition is getting there thanks to new electronic gas control, high compression pistons, and a new Noken profile. Not to forget, this engine has also passed Euro 5 emission standards that will take effect starting 2020.
Turning to the legs, the Suzuki V-Strom 1050 has a size of 10 / 80R19M / C 59V for the front. While the rear is packed with 150 / 70R17M / C 69V.
2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1050 is claimed to be more fuel-efficient. Keep in mind that the tank can hold up to 20 liters of fuel with an estimated efficiency of up to 24.5 km per liter.
Its qualified specifications are still strengthened by the presence of complete features. One of them is the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS). This electronic package includes quality throttle by wire. With the SIR’s feature, riding with the 2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1050 will be a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
Suzuki provides several color options that will differ between the trim. The basic will only get silver and black color options while the higher trim will be coming in more various color options. The marketed base price for the 2020 Suzuki V-Strom 1050 is starting from $13,399.
