The Royal Enfield Himalayan officially gets an upgrade and is expected to be available at the end of 2020. There are several upgrades including the addition of two new features that are not yet available in the version that is currently available on the market.
Based on many of the current Royal Enfield Himalayan consumer reviews, many have complained about the ABS features in the braking system. Royal Enfield plotted the Himalayan in the adventure segment but is equipped with ABS systems that are prone to dirty sensors.
Therefore, for the 2020 Royal Enfield Himalayan version will be given a feature on/off the ABS system. The ABS feature in the Himalayan 2020 is optional, it can be turned off and turned on according to the rider’s needs.
Besides that, it also features a switch for hazard lights as a warning sign. Not only features, but Royal Enfield also offers a choice of colors and new accessories on the 2020 model.
In fact, Royal Enfield has exhibited three new color options (red, blue, and gray) at the Milan Motorcycle Show some time ago. There will be a collection of new accessories that include new handlebars and black pannier boxes to complement the ride.
Moving on to the engine, the 2020 Royal Enfield Himalayan packs a 411 cc engine and Euro 5 emission standard and is ready to be marketed in Europe. As for the country of origin in India, the Euro 4 emission standard is currently being used.
The power generated by the engine is clocked at 24.8 hp at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 32 Nm at 4,250 rpm. Equipped with a 5-speed gearbox, the 2020 Royal Enfield Himalayan uses a 41 mm telescopic suspension at the front and a mono-shock at the rear.
There is no information available on the pricing yet but for sure the safety is ensured as the Royal Enfield Himalayan got a single 300 mm disc at the front and 240 mm at the rear plus it already is using the ABS system in the braking mechanism.
