Ducati as one of the leading motorcycle manufacturers from Italy has a new Multistrada 1260 variant dubbed the Ducati Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour.
It is an adventure motorbike whose production is based on the Multistrada 1260 S model with a few cosmetic changes and enhancements so that it can be a comfortable companion while doing long-distance traveling.
This particular model gets a Ducati Touring Package which includes the middle standard, panniers, and seats with the Grand Tour logo.
To increase driving comfort, the Ducati Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour is equipped with a taller windshield, LED fog lights, heated grips, hands-free petrol cap, and TPMS or Tire Pressure Monitoring System sensors as tire pressure monitoring systems that can be seen on the instrument panel.
In terms of appearance, the Grand Tour motorbike is decorated with a combination of matt gray sandstone and Ducati red on the wheels and frame. While graphics 1260 S on the side body with a large size is one of its appeals.
To be capable while traveling long distances, the Ducati Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour uses a 1,262 cc Testastretta DVT 2-cylinder engine.
The power generated from the engine is clocked at 158 hp at 9,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 129 Nm at 7,500 rpm, the power output is generated from the Ride by Wire system and the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU).
So that riders do not get tired and comfortable, Ducati provides them with the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up & down feature. This feature makes le the rider accelerate without the need to pull the clutch.
Other electronic features include ABS Cornering, the Cornering Lights (DCL) incorporated in the full-LED headlight assembly, and Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC).
The DWC and DTC systems consist of 8 level options and are easy to operate. Besides, there is standard equipment including Vehicle Hold Control (VHC) and a semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) Evolution System.
Ducati plans to debut the Multistrada 1260 S Grand Tour to the European market in early 2020 and is expected to be launched for the global market in summer 2020.
