Mazda designed the side shape design of the car with dimensions of 4,460mm x 1,765mm x 1,435mm (P x L x T) with a fairly sensual indentation with a heavier rear fender profile.
The stern curves of the Mazda 3 Hatchback seem to follow the design path on the C pillar so that it indirectly makes the shape of the trunk door has a dynamic curve.
The most prominent hollowing point on the trunk door of the latest Mazda 3 hatchback is designed exactly parallel to the LED taillight area, as well as the Mazda logo which is the hiding place for the electric button to open the trunk door.

Mazda’s typical MZD Connect infotainment system now comes with a new interface. Appearing on the 8.8-inch TFT color display, the MZD Connect interface appears more elegant with simpler settings.
By default, the MZD Connect on this car has navigation capabilities, is connected to a smartphone via USB / Bluetooth, and can manage various car settings via Commander Control.
The central console area also gets a new design from Mazda. The console box cover is made to function as an armrest with soft padded and covered with leather material and follows the principle of the Karakumi mechanism.
Besides, the Command Controller position is made just behind the transmission lever which is now aligned with the armrest, and a pair of middle cup holders are placed on the front side of the transmission lever.
In addition to presenting the Sport mode feature, Mazda also embeds G-Vectoring Control Plus (GVC Plus) technology which is tasked with increasing stability and control when the car maneuvers around the corner.
Besides relying on this technology, Mazda also embeds Mazda Radar Cruise Control technology. The Mazda Radar Cruise Control as part of I-ACTIVSENSE will use millimeter-wave radar to assess speed and distance relative to the car in front.
Mazda uses the SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with optimization on the intake port and piston shape, split fuel injection, and cooling valves to produce better fuel efficiency and dynamic performance.
This optimization makes this engine capable of removing 153 hp @ 6,000 rpm with a torque of 200 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. All those power is channeled to the front wheels via a 6-speed SKYACTIV-DRIVE transmission.
