Sony has recently announced the RX0 II premium ultra-compact camera. The uniqueness of this RX0 II is that its LCD panel can be tilted up to 180 degrees up and 90 degrees down. It’s also the compact camera that is superior enough to be called ultra camera.
RX0 II is specialized as videography equipment, both for professional videographers as a multi-camera solution and for vloggers or content creators who want to improve the quality of their content.
The Sony RX0 II has a multi-camera shot feature, where the owner can combine up to five camera units to record a scene. This then makes it very different from the action camera and maybe this is also one of the reasons why Sony is reluctant to categorize this camera as an action camera.
Although the body looks small, RX0 II has a fairly tough construction, so it can be used in a variety of difficult environmental conditions.
The body is waterproof that can endure diving up to 10 meters, shock resistant to a height of 2 meters, crushproof and impact resistant to weigh 200 kg, and rustproof.
The core part of the Sony RX0 II is a 15.3MP stacked 1.0-type sensor image and a Sony BIONZ X processor. Comes with a fix wide-angle ZEISS Tessar T * 24mm lens, f4.0 aperture, a minimum focus distance of 20cm, and ISO 80- range 12800.
For still photography, RX0 II supports shutter speeds of up to 1 / 32000s, anti-distortion shutter up to 16fps continuous shooting, and Eye AF. The photos can be stored in JPEG in the extra fine or standard quality.
Sony completes the RX0 II with complete connectivity to connect with smartphones. Whether it’s for remote control functions or sending photos and videos instantly to a smartphone. As for the price, the Sony RX0 II is priced at $ 699.
