After all the rumors circulating about the latest gen of Blazer, General Motors finally gave the first glimpse of the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer at an event in Atlanta. But there is something different. No more Body-on-frame SUVs or removable roofs, the 2019 Blazer gets the C1 architecture, just like any other modern crossover.
The exterior of the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer gets a more aggressive outer design change. The sharp lines flowing from the grille to the bonnet also sculpt the front wheel line to the top of the C pillar. Chevy revealed that the new Blaze will offer the RS and Premier versions. The RS model will be blackened with dark windows, black wheels, and black paint. while the Premier trim will include a chrome display.
The most striking addition in the front exterior of the Chevrolet 2019 Blazer is a new headlamp design with sleek contours. When activated, the headlamp will automatically turn on when the ambient light level. As explained earlier, the 2019 Blazer comes with a newer and more macho front fascia.
The hood of the car is made more athletic with a sporty element united with a thick grille. The front is filled with a sporty design accentuating the latest carved Blazer hood. The side looks smoother with 18″ alloy wheels to be the perfect complement to the solid impression given by the 2019 Blazer reaching off-road roads.
Just like what they did on the front, the backside exterior of the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer also gets a significant change. Starting from the door design that is made more firm and small.
The Chevrolet Blazer 2019 will give two option on the engine with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 193 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque that functions as a base engine.
The carmaker will be looking for extras to be able to choose a 3.6-liter V6 with 305 horsepower and 365 Nm that offers a withdrawal capacity of up to 2,041 kg. Both engines work with 9-speed automatic transmission in the front or all-wheel-drive configuration.
Safety features include Forward Collision Alert, Side Blind Zone Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Vision Camera, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Electrochromic Rear View Mirror, Hill Start Assist, and Hill Descent Control.
The Traction Select system allows the driver to change throttle and calibrate stability controls to boost the grip in slippery traction situations.
The Chevrolet Blazer 2019 dashboard is equipped with the latest Chevy MyLink system handling the infotainment system with an 8-inch touch screen, Bose audio, plus the capabilities of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Judging from the appearance, the dashboard gives the impression of futuristic minimalism and thinner sides than the old version which still relies on physical buttons for various feature settings while driving.
The steering wheel of the Chevrolet Blazer 2019 gets various setting buttons. With controls mounted on the steering wheel, the driver can change songs, activate directions, and access contacts without having to let go of the hand from the steering wheel. The new instrument cluster panel will provide all machine information and driving type vehicles.
