The All-New 2020 Kia Soul EV underwent its first global debut at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. The latest car from Kia combines the vibrations of the Soul and the silence of all-electric Buzz. The new 2020 Kia Soul EV is a new version of the Kia compact utility vehicle that is loved, won a number of awards and certainly not conventional.
Along with the world debut, the Soul EV is electrically powered, also powered by batteries. Besides being unique and fun, Soul EV provides an opportunity for Soul lovers to drive without ever stopping the accelerator.
This Kia Soul 2020 does have a shape that tends to be boxed. But if you pay attention, Kia provides a number of elements that look futuristic, especially at the front. There is a pair of slim lights, which are located above a black accent and a black front grille that is also larger.
The new feature on the front here is the LED DRL that is installed in this car. Moving on the back of the Soul and we can clearly see that it is also a lot better, including the eye-catching taillights.
This car will have a 64 kWh battery that contains a fast-charged DC charging system and is paired with an electric motor that can produce 201 HP and torque of 394 Nm. The Kia Soul EV 2020 will have 4 driving modes, namely Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Eco +.
With each mode selected, the engine will automatically adjust the power output, regenerative braking, temperature settings, and heater settings, while setting the speed limit to help manage powertrain efficiency.
Diving on the regenerative braking, the system will be operated through a paddle shift, which allows the driver to slow down the car and process kinetic energy so that the distance can be farther and farther away.
In addition to that, there is also a Brake and Hold System that will adjust the regenerative braking level if there is a vehicle in front of it. Inside, Kia designers are inspired by the world of music, thus creating a series of shapes and textures that reflect the acoustic elements. Most importantly, there are also wireless charging, automatic AC control, and speakers with special tweeters.
Kia Soul 2020 also comes with a 10.25-inch color HD touch screen, with a function that can display the back of the car with a parking guide. Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth are all available.
In addition to engine options, buyers can also choose the 8-inch head-up display option and the 640-watt Harman Kardon audio system along with its amplifiers, 10 speakers, and a special subwoofer. KIA Soul is also equipped with KIA’s Drive Wise System which includes at least 8 driving feature to help the driver.
