Aprilia presents a number of updates for the 2021 RS 125. The latest version of the motorbikes comes with updates in several sectors, one of which is the engine.
Engine
The entry-level motorbike still uses a single-cylinder 125cc 4-stroke engine, complete with liquid cooling. In terms of performance, the mechanical pacemaker is capable of producing a power of 15 horsepower at 10,000 rpm and 11Nm at 8,000 rpm, which is transmitted via a 6-speed gearbox.
The engine gets an internal update, where the combustion chamber, exhaust, valves, and throttle body have been upgraded. Aprilia also redesigned the exhaust line and installed a new exhaust system, including a catalytic converter that is claimed to be more efficient.
Design
In terms of appearance, the 2021 Aprilia RS 125 adopt the design of its older brothers, the RS 660. The headlamp uses an LED which is integrated with the turn signal.
The instrument cluster is fully digital with a choice of white or light blue backlighting. The instrument panel has also been connected to the smartphone via a Bluetooth connection.
The front suspension uses an upside-down model measuring 40mm and a monoshock at the rear. The braking system uses 300mm discs and four-piston calipers at the front, as well as 218mm discs and single-piston calipers at the rear.
The wheels on the 2021 Aprilia RS 125 is 17 inches at the front and rear and are wrapped in Michelin tires. The motorbike is also equipped with dual-channel ABS features.
Availability
The new Aprilia RS 125 comes in two color choices, Aprilia Black and Sintesi Blue. Then there is also the GP Replica version which has a similar trim to the Aprilia RS-GP MotoGP motorbike.
